Wednesday #streetrehabilitation

1. Pastors must wear robes or special attire

Nowhere in the new Testament does Jesus or the Disciples wear special clothing. God is interested in your heart not what you wear.

1.Samueal 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not judge from his appearance or from his lofty stature, because I have rejected him. God does not see as a mortal, who sees the appearance. The LORD looks into the heart'”.

2. The church is a building

The church is not a building, the church is the people who follow Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”.

3. Many church’s preach that you must tithe 10% of your earnings or you’re robbing God. Tithing was an old Testament law for Isreal. The new Testament teaches cheerful giving not required percentage.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”.

4. Sunday is the only day of worship

Most church’s teach that Sunday is the Biblical day of worship. The early believers met daily.

Acts 2:46

the early Christians are described as meeting together daily in the temple courts and breaking bread in their homes, sharing their meals with glad and sincere hearts.

Jesus said true worship isn’t about a day it’s about worshipping in spirit and in truth.

Thank you Jesus!
