Don’t get confused with religion and relationship. Jesus doesn’t want us to follow a religion, he wants us to have a relationship with him and as a result of that we will follow him
Religion says many things contradicting the word of God.
Religion says Don’t get mad but God says:
If you get mad, don’t sin
Ephesians 4:26
Religion says a lot of things are prohibited but God says:
Everything is permissable but not everything is beneficial
1 Corinthians 10:23
Religion says God is pushing you but God says:
You reap what you sow
Galatians 6.6-7
